A place to speak, reflect and consider what comes next

COUNSELLING

People come to counselling at many different points in life.

You may be facing a clear difficulty, carrying a decision that will not settle or trying to understand why something no longer feels right.

You may also arrive without a clear issue or question. Sometimes there is simply a growing sense that your life, relationships or direction need closer attention.

  • Change and transition

  • Grief and loss

  • Difficult decisions

  • Feeling stuck or without direction

  • Identity and purpose

  • Living with what cannot be changed

Counselling offers a place to speak honestly, think carefully and explore what matters without being hurried toward an answer.

SESSIONS

Counselling in person and online

Individual counselling sessions are available in person in Mount Waverley and online.

The number and frequency of sessions will depend on what brings you to counselling and what feels useful to you. Some people come with a particular concern, decision or transition they would like to explore. Others choose to meet over a longer period.

There is no requirement to commit to a fixed program before we meet.

Your first session is an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to counselling, what is occupying you now and what you hope may become clearer.

It also gives us a chance to consider whether my approach feels right for you and how we might continue working together.

You do not need to prepare a complete personal history or arrive with a clearly stated goal.

BEGINNING COUNSELLING

What happens in the first session?

The first session gives you an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to counselling and what is occupying you now.

We may discuss:

  • What has been happening

  • What feels most difficult or uncertain

  • What you hope may become clearer

  • What you have already tried

  • What you would like from counselling

  • Whether my approach feels appropriate for you

You do not need to prepare a complete personal history or arrive with a clearly stated goal.

You are welcome to begin wherever it feels most natural.

The first session is also an opportunity to experience how I work and decide whether you feel comfortable continuing

Counselling grounded in meaning, choice and possibility.

Let’s make space for what matters now.
